The skin surface is cooled throughout. The type of anesthesia depends on the area and how you feel about pain, and is explained after your consultation.

How is XERF different from Thermage?
Thermage uses one frequency, 6.78MHz. XERF adds 2MHz, so deeper layers can be chosen as well. It suits faces that need a different depth in each area.
Does XERF hurt?
The skin surface is cooled during treatment, and many say it is easier to bear, but you feel heat when energy reaches the deeper layers. The type of anesthesia is explained after your consultation.
Will my cheeks lose volume?
XERF is not a fat-reducing device; it is RF that tightens the dermis. For thin faces worried about hollow cheeks, we plan by adjusting the depth.
Can I get it together with Ulthera?
Sometimes we lift the fascia with Ulthera and treat texture and firmness with XERF on the same day. The combination and order are decided after your consultation.
When will I see results, and how long do they last?
Collagen takes time to rebuild, so changes are seen over several weeks. How long results last depends on your skin and lifestyle.
Can I go about my day right after?
Most people can, but redness and warmth may appear. If you have an important event during your trip, let us know at your consultation.
