How it works
Radiofrequency, ultrasound, microwave — what's the difference?
Lifting devices reach different layers first depending on the energy they use. Onda uses a third kind: microwave.

The three devices don't compete; they share the work. If fat is the cause, Onda takes off the weight, and the sagging layers can then be addressed with Ulthera or XERF.

What is an ONDA LIFTING EXPERT?
It's a title officially appointed by DEKA, the Italian maker of Onda (ONDA LIFTING EXPERT Member). Dr. Ko Young-wook of AUVEL was appointed for passing Onda technique on to other doctors and taking part in clinical training, and he handles assessment, planning and treatment for Onda at AUVEL himself.
What is Onda lifting?
A non-surgical treatment using DEKA's (Italy) microwave device (Coolwaves®). The energy is designed to be absorbed first by the fat layer, reducing double chin, lower-cheek and jawline fat while supporting firmness.
Does it hurt?
You may feel warmth; how much depends on the area, the power and the person. The type of anesthesia is explained after your consultation.
When will I see a difference?
The fat layer and skin take time to settle, so changes are checked over several weeks. Results and timing vary by person.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the area and the amount of fat. The number of sessions and the interval are decided together after your consultation.
Will my cheeks become hollow?
For faces where hollowing is a concern, we narrow the area or plan with a different device. That's why the consultation comes before treatment.
How is it different from Ulthera?
Ulthera lifts the fascia (SMAS) with ultrasound; Onda addresses the fat layer first with microwave energy. If fat is causing the sagging, Onda can take off the weight, followed by Ulthera.
Can it be used on the body as well?
Arms, abdomen, thighs and other areas are treated with the body handpiece. Tell us the area and we'll explain at your consultation.
Can I go about my day right after?
Redness, warmth and swelling may occur, so if you have plans during your stay in Seoul, let us know when you message us.
