One channel, and it reaches the clinic

For English-language visitors AUVEL Clinic uses a single contact route: WhatsApp, at +82 10-5924-4401. It goes to the clinic itself. There is no medical tourism agency in the middle taking a cut or relaying messages.

If you tap the WhatsApp button on this site, the chat opens with a line that says which page you were reading. You can delete it before sending. It just saves you explaining how you found the clinic.

What to put in the first message

You do not need to have chosen a treatment. The clinic asks for the problem rather than the product, and a doctor decides what applies after examining you.

The messages that get a useful reply fastest include the points below. Your travel details matter as much as your skin: some treatments are better early in a trip, some late, and part of a plan can wait for a later visit if you are coming back.

• What bothers you, in your own words
• Any treatment you were already looking at
• The dates you will be in Seoul
• Anything you cannot look treated for: a wedding, a shoot, a flight the next morning
• Whether you expect to come back to Seoul
• A photo, if you are comfortable sending one (optional)

What comes back

The reply gives you a figure for your case and the times the doctor is free. Prices are set in Korean won, and 10% VAT is added to treatment prices; any dollar amount you see is only a guide, since the exchange rate moves. Ask for the VAT-included total if that is the number you are budgeting with.

The figure is a starting point. The plan is confirmed at the consultation, and the doctor may suggest less than you asked about.

Money: deposits and payment

No deposit is taken to hold a consultation slot. Nothing is charged until you are at the clinic, and you decide on treatment after you have been seen.

International credit cards are accepted when you pay in person.

Timing your messages and your visit

Everything runs on Korea Standard Time. The clinic is open 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM on weekdays and 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturdays, with a lunch break from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Sundays and public holidays are closed, so check your travel dates against the Korean holiday calendar before settling on a day.

A message sent during your afternoon may reach Seoul overnight. If something is time-sensitive, say so at the top.

Getting there on the day

The address is 12F, 138 Dosan-daero, Gangnam-gu. From Sinsa Station, leave by Exit 1; the building is about 245 meters away, a walk of around a minute. If you come by car, the building has valet parking.

The consultation happens in a closed room, and the treatment is performed one-to-one directly by a board-certified dermatologist. Most treatments on the rates list can be done the same day once the doctor has seen your skin.

After you fly home

Before you leave, get your aftercare instructions in writing and note the name of the treatment or device used. If you ever see a doctor at home, that name is the first thing they will ask for.

A message is not a substitute for an examination. If something is sudden, severe or getting worse, see a doctor where you are first, then let the clinic know.
